WELCOME TO BEYOND THE BAR BAKERY–HOME OF THE ONE BITE CAKES!
Beyond the Bar Bakery is a small bakery that was started in 2012 by Jennifer Sullivan and moved to its current location in 2014. We specialize in from-scratch baked goods which are on a rotating menu every day. Our “One Bite Cakes” are available in many different flavors and can be ordered in quantities to suit your needs.
Jennifer Sullivan is a former attorney and mom to four kids. She and her husband, Brian, moved to Decorah in June of 2013 after being in the Minneapolis area for 14 years. Both Jenn and Brian grew up in Iowa and are happy to be back! It has always been Jenn’s dream to have her own bakery, and since law school, a bakery named “Beyond the Bar” has been in the back of her mind. She is very happy that this dream is finally a reality!
The bakery was originally a home-based business, however, in October 2014 a retail location opened in Decorah, Iowa. The bakery is now located at 404 West Water Street and is open Tuesdays-Fridays 10:00am-4:00pm and Saturdays 10:00am-3:00pm.
